Ipswich Building Society broadens its broker partnerships to intermediaries nationwide

Ipswich Building Society is extending its commitment to the intermediary sector, developing five existing partnerships with SimplyBiz, Intrinsic, Sesame, Mortgage Intelligence and Personal Touch FS, and enabling their intermediaries to now access the Society’s mortgage products regardless of their location. This expands the reach of the Society’s network beyond its heartland area where intermediaries are usually required to be based – Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire – for properties in England and Wales.

The wider implementation of Ipswich Building Society’s services with each intermediary partner has been tailored to suit their specific needs, with all benefitting from a dedicated Business Development Manager and specialist Intermediary Sales Team based at the Society’s head office in Ipswich, Suffolk.

The Society recently launched a dedicated broker brand, new intermediary proposition and specialised website.  Independent research was commissioned to ensure the Society’s offering met the needs of brokers, with the Society’s tailored approach ultimately responding to the conclusions drawn: that brokers value the ability of lenders to meet the needs of a diverse group of clients; want consistent turn-around times as well as clarity on the progress of their cases; and are appreciative of the opportunity to meet with senior members of the lender’s management team.

Michelle Stevens, Head of Mortgage Sales at Ipswich Building Society, stated: “We have focused on developing strategic partnerships with trusted broker clubs and networks in order to strengthen our commitment to the sector, and to extend the reach of our services across the country.”

Paul Winter, CEO of Ipswich Building Society, commented, “Our new intermediary partners will benefit from our manual approach to underwriting which allows us to handle more complex cases, particularly those involving mortgage misfits such as older borrowers, the self-employed, self-builders and applicants facing major life changes.”
